June 14, 2025: Manly, IA 50456 The Hempstead Mustangs triumphed over the host Central Springs Panthers softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, June 18. Hempstead will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).
The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Saints enter the Top of Iowa-East challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last challenge, St. Ansgar was routed by Riceville (Riceville, IA), 10-2, in a non-league challenge.
