Iowa High School Softball - West Liberty bounces Lisbon
June 14, 2025: West Liberty, IA 52776 The West Liberty Comets softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Lisbon Lions to 1 in the Comets non-league win on Saturday.
The Comets now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Regina for a River Valley - South battle on Tuesday, June 17. West Liberty will confront a Regals team coming off a 7-2 league win over West Branch (West Branch, IA). The Regals record now stands at 2-9.
With the loss, Lisbon moves to 10-6 on the season. The Lions host Starmont (Arlington, IA) to confront the Stars in a non-league battle on Monday, June 16. The Stars come into the battle with a record of 5-9. Starmont lost 13-8 in their recent league battle against Springville (Springville, IA)
