June 14, 2025: Woodward, IA 50276 The Woodward-Granger Hawks triumphed over the visiting Westwood Rebels softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hawks meet the Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) in a West Central challenge, on Monday, June 16. Woodward-Granger will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 10-2 non-league win over Baxter (Baxter, IA).
The Rebels (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA). The Falcons enter the Western Valley challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove was routed by Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute (Mapleton, IA), 8-0, in a league challenge.
