Iowa High School Softball - South Hamilton nudges Solon
June 15, 2024: Jewell, IA 50130 South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Solon Spartans (Solon, IA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 10-11 record. They take the field next when they host North Polk for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 15. South Hamilton will battle a Comets squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Comets record now stands at 22-2.
With the loss, Solon falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to A-D-M (Adel, IA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 15. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. A-D-M won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Perry (Perry, IA)
