Iowa High School Softball - Oelwein tipped by Cascade
June 17, 2025: Oelwein, IA 50662 Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), 5-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Cascade improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Cougars host Beckman (Dyersville, IA) to play the Trailblazers in a River Valley - North game on Thursday, June 19. The Trailblazers enter the game with a record of 10-7. Beckman won 9-1 in their recent non-league game against Monticello (Monticello, IA)
The Huskies now hold a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Denver for a non-league game on Wednesday, June 18. Oelwein will play a Cyclones squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Union (La Porte City, IA). The Cyclones record now stands at 6-8.
