Iowa High School Baseball - Union loses to Columbus
June 18, 2024: Waterloo, IA 50702 The Columbus Sailors crushed the visiting Union Knights baseball team by a count of 11-5 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Sailors now possess a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wapsie Valley for a non-league bout on Wednesday, June 19. Columbus will face a Warriors team coming off a 5-3 league win over Oelwein (Oelwein, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 21-6.
Next, the Knights face the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, June 19. Union will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Wolverines enter the bout with a 11-6 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA).
