June 19, 2025: Sumner, IA 50674 The Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks softball team scored 7 runs and held the host Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars to 2 in the Go-Hawks non-league win on Thursday.
The Go-Hawks now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Winneshiek for a non-league battle on Friday, June 20. Waverly-Shell Rock will confront a Warriors team coming off a 16-1 league win over MFL MarMac (Monona, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-12.
With the loss, Sumner-Fredericksburg moves to 10-8 on the season. The Cougars host Denver (Denver, IA) to confront the Cyclones in a non-league battle on Friday, June 20. The Cyclones come into the battle with a record of 6-8.
