Iowa High School Softball - Gilbert bounces Humboldt
June 20, 2025: Gilbert, IA 50105 The Gilbert Tigers softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Humboldt Wildcats to 2 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Vernon for a non-league battle on Saturday, June 21. Gilbert will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-7.
With the loss, Humboldt moves to 7-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA) to encounter the Midgets in a non-league battle on Saturday, June 21. The Midgets come into the battle with a record of 14-4. Estherville Lincoln Central won 5-0 in their recent league battle against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA)
