Iowa High School Softball - Mid-Prairie gets by Newell-Fonda
June 21, 2025: Newell, IA 50568 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) and the host Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA), observed Mid-Prairie's softball team get by Newell-Fonda by a final score of 6-5.
The Golden Hawks (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against Durant (Durant, IA). The Wildcats go into the River Valley - North bout with a 12-6 record. In their last bout, Durant was nipped by Albia (Albia, IA), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA) in a Twin Lakes bout, on Monday, June 23. Newell-Fonda will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 4-1 league loss to Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA).
