Iowa High School Softball - Assumption nudges Highland
June 22, 2024: Davenport, IA 52804 Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Highland Huskies (Riverside, IA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Davenport West for a Mississippi Athletic challenge on Monday, June 24. Assumption will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, Highland falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to New London (New London, IA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 24. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-15. New London lost 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against West Burlington (West Burlington, IA)
