Iowa High School Softball - Pleasant Valley bounces Mt. Vernon
June 22, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) softball routed the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA), 13-3 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Spartans now sport a 26-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muscatine for a Mississippi Athletic outing on Monday, June 24. Pleasant Valley will encounter a Muskies team coming off a 8-6 league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA). The Muskies record now stands at 19-7.
With the loss, Mt. Vernon moves to 26-9 on the season. The Mustangs host South Tama County (Tama, IA) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league outing on Monday, June 24. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 0-21. South Tama County lost 9-6 in their recent non-league outing against North Tama (Traer, IA)
