Iowa High School Softball - Alburnett bounces West Delaware
June 23, 2023: Alburnett, IA 52202 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) and the visiting West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA), saw Alburnett's softball squad nip West Delaware by a count of 10-5.
The Pirates now sport a 20-10 record. They take the field next when they host Muscatine for a non-league match on Friday, June 23. Alburnett will face a Muskies squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Durant (Durant, IA). The Muskies record now stands at 21-2.
With the loss, West Delaware falls to 13-16 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Durant (Durant, IA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, June 24. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 9-20. Durant lost 11-2 in their recent non-league match against Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA)
