June 24, 2023: Oskaloosa, IA 52577 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) and the host Oskaloosa Indians (Oskaloosa, IA), saw North Polk's softball squad nip Oskaloosa by a count of 3-0.
The Comets now sport a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they host Carlisle for a non-league match on Monday, June 26. North Polk will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 24-1.
With the loss, Oskaloosa falls to 9-15 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Newton (Newton, IA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league match on Monday, June 26. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 11-11. Newton won 10-6 in their recent non-league match against Pella Christian (Pella, IA)
