June 25, 2025: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Xavier Saints (Cedar Rapids, IA) baseball got by the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA), 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Saints now own a 14-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 26. Xavier will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 8-3 non-league win over West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-16.
With the defeat, Mt. Vernon drops to 12-10 on the year. The Mustangs host Benton (Van Horne, IA) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 26. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 19-5. Benton won 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Anamosa (Anamosa, IA)
