June 25, 2025: Eldora, IA 50627 Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA), 9-6 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Madrid improves its record to 7-16 on the year. The Tigers travel to Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to play the Roadrunners in a West Central game on Thursday, June 26. The Roadrunners enter the game with a record of 7-5.
The Tigers now hold a 2-17 record. They play next when they host East Marshall for a North Iowa Cedar - West game on Thursday, June 26. South Hardin will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-7.
