Iowa High School Softball - East Union knocked off by West Central Valley
June 28, 2023: Afton, IA 50830 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the West Central Valley Wildcats (Stuart, IA) softball team overwhelmed the host East Union Eagles (Afton, IA), by a margin of 14-2.
With the triumph, West Central Valley moves its record to 15-6 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Earlham (Earlham, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Thursday, June 29. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 29-7. Earlham won 11-3 in their recent non-league contest against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (Guthrie Center, IA)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Orient-Macksburg Bulldogs (Orient, IA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, June 30. East Union will attempt to move on its 13-17 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 15-16 record after their 8-3 non-league win over Moravia (Moravia, IA).
