Iowa High School Baseball - George-Little Rock loses to Central Lyon
June 28, 2025: Rock Rapids, IA 51246 Central Lyon Lions (Rock Rapids, IA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA), 10-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Central Lyon advances its record to 7-13 on the season. The Lions host Spirit Lake (Spirit Lake, IA) to battle the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, July 1. The Indians come into the match with a record of 14-3.
The Mustangs now have a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union for a War Eagle match on Monday, June 30. George-Little Rock will battle a Royals squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA). The Royals record now stands at 14-3.
