Iowa High School Softball - Maquoketa Valley bounces AGWSR
June 28, 2025: Ackley, IA 50601 The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats softball team scored 10 runs and held the host AGWSR Cougars to 0 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.
The Wildcats now sport a 21-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lisbon for a non-league battle on Monday, June 30. Maquoketa Valley will confront a Lions team coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Lions record now stands at 17-12.
With the loss, AGWSR moves to 8-19 on the season. The Cougars host East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to confront the Mustangs in a North Iowa Cedar - West battle on Monday, June 30. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 20-8. East Marshall lost 7-6 in their recent non-league battle against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
