Iowa High School Softball - Muscatine bounces Charles City
June 29, 2024: Muscatine, IA 52761 The Muscatine Muskies softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Charles City Comets to 1 in the Muskies non-league win on Saturday.
The Muskies now sport a 22-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Assumption for a non-league battle on Monday, July 1. Muscatine will confront a Knights team coming off a 16-0 league win over Clinton (Clinton, IA). The Knights record now stands at 20-8.
With the loss, Charles City moves to 21-4 on the season. The Comets host Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA) to confront the Vikings in a Northeast Iowa battle on Monday, July 1. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 8-14. Decorah-North Winneshiek lost 13-1 in their recent non-league battle against Wahlert (Dubuque, IA)
