June 3, 2021: Mayville, ND 58257 Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers (Des Lacs, ND) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots (Mayville, ND), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Lakers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thompson for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 4. Des Lacs-Burlington will face a Tommies squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Beulah (Beulah, ND). The Tommies record now stands at 21-1.
With the loss, Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Beulah (Beulah, ND) to face the Miners in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 4.
