Iowa High School Softball - Central Lee bounces Winfield-Mt. Union
June 3, 2024: Donnellson, IA 52625 Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA), 15-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to New London for a SE IA Super - South challenge on Tuesday, June 4. Central Lee will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to West Burlington (West Burlington, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Winfield-Mt. Union falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Wapello (Wapello, IA) to battle the Indians in a SE IA Super - North challenge on Tuesday, June 4. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Wapello lost 11-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA)
