June 4, 2024: Packwood, IA 52580 Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Cedar for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 6.
With the loss, Pekin falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to battle the Warhawks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 5. The Warhawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. North Mahaska lost 15-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA)
