June 7, 2024: Belmond, IA 50421 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) and the host Belmond-Klemme Broncos (Belmond, IA), witnessed Aplington-Parkersburg's softball squad tip Belmond-Klemme by a count of 8-7.
The Falcons now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Dike-New Hartford for a non-league match on Monday, June 10. Aplington-Parkersburg will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Belmond-Klemme moves to 6-5 on the season. The Broncos travel to Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA) to face the Golden Bears in a Top of Iowa-West match on Monday, June 10.
