June 7, 2025: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 Pella Dutch (Pella, IA) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA), 6-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Pella improves its record to 5-6 on the year. The Dutch travel to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, June 10. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 7-5. Gilbert won 2-1 in their recent league game against Winterset (Winterset, IA)
The Mustangs now hold a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Newton for a non-league game on Saturday, June 7. Mt. Vernon will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-6.
