Iowa High School Softball - Nevada drops to Newman Catholic
June 7, 2025: Nevada, IA 50201 Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), 13-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Newman Catholic improves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA) to play the Midgets in a non-league game on Monday, June 9. The Midgets enter the game with a record of 6-2.
The Cubs now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they host West Marshall for a Heart of Iowa game on Monday, June 9. Nevada will play a Trojans squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Greene County (Jefferson, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-3.
