Iowa High School Softball - Winterset holds off Earlham
June 8, 2024: Earlham, IA 50072 Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Earlham Cardinals (Earlham, IA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Huskies now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ankeny for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 8. Winterset will face a Hawks squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Atlantic (Atlantic, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-7.
With the loss, Earlham falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to face the Roadrunners in a West Central challenge on Monday, June 10. The Roadrunners enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Interstate 35 lost 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Johnston (Johnston, IA)
