Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers (Lampeter, PA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 24-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 13. Pittston will face a Hornets squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Exeter Township (Reading, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 17-9.

With the loss, Lampeter-Strasburg falls to 20-6 on the campaign.
