June 9, 2022: Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) and the host Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), witnessed Mankato West's softball squad tip Simley by a count of 4-3.
The Scarlets now sport a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Winona for a non-league match on Friday, June 10. Mankato West will meet a Winhawks squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Rocori (Cold Spring, MN). The Winhawks record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Simley moves to 6-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, June 10. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 8-2. Chisago Lakes Area won 6-1 in their recent non-league match against Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN)
