Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wisdom Pioneers (St. Agatha, ME), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Howlers now own a 13-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Aroostook for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. Penobscot Valley will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Ashland (Ashland, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Wisdom falls to 8-5 on the campaign.
