Iowa High School Softball - Denver sneaks past Columbus
June 9, 2025: Denver, IA 50622 The Denver Cyclones softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Columbus Sailors to 2 in the Cyclones league win on Monday.
The Cyclones now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Hardin for a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 10. Denver will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 11-4 league loss to East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Columbus moves to 2-8 on the season. The Sailors host Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 10. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 5-4. Sumner-Fredericksburg lost 10-7 in their recent league battle against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA)
