July 3, 2024: Des Moines, IA 50312 The Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) softball nipped the visiting Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Roughriders now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar for a non-league outing on Friday, July 5. Roosevelt will encounter a Bluejays team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Newton (Newton, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 24-9.
With the loss, Saydel moves to 13-12 on the season. The Eagles travel to Grinnell (Grinnell, IA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league outing on Monday, July 8. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 15-17. Grinnell won 6-5 in their recent non-league outing against Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA)
