July 3, 2025: Hartley, IA 51346 Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks (Hartley, IA), 13-9 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Alta-Aurelia upgrades its record to 6-15 on the year. The Warriors host South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA) to play the Titans in a Twin Lakes game on Monday, July 7. The Titans enter the game with a record of 0-19. South Central Calhoun lost 14-3 in their recent non-league game against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA)
The Hawks now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Sibley-Ocheyedan for a non-league game on Monday, July 7. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will play a Generals squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Sheldon (Sheldon, IA). The Generals record now stands at 4-14.
