July 5, 2023: Spencer, IA 51301 Spencer Tigers (Spencer, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA), 4-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Spencer upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Tigers host Spirit Lake (Spirit Lake, IA) to battle the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, July 7. The Indians come into the test with a record of 12-11. Spirit Lake won 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA)
With the defeat, Humboldt falls to 24-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, July 7. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 16-12.
