July 5, 2025: Ottumwa, IA 52501 The Davenport Central Blue Devils baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Ottumwa Bulldogs to 3 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Saturday.
The Blue Devils now hold a 9-13 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a non-league test on Monday, July 7. Davenport Central will play a Panthers team coming off a 11-4 league win over Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 16-8.
With the defeat, Ottumwa drops to 20-11 on the year. The Bulldogs host Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA) to play the Scarlets in a Alliance Conference - South test on Monday, July 7. The Scarlets go into the test with a record of 3-14.
