Iowa High School Baseball - Davenport West edges Mt. Vernon
July 6, 2024: Davenport, IA 52804 In Saturday's non-league game, the host Davenport West Falcons baseball team scored a close 4-1 win over the Mt. Vernon Mustangs.
The Falcons (12-24) will now prepare for their game against Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 27-8 record. In their last game, Ottumwa nudged Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA), 11-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Mustangs play the Xavier Saints (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, July 9. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 18-16 season record.
