Iowa High School Baseball - Gehlen Catholic wallops Whiting
July 6, 2024: Whiting, IA 51063 The Gehlen Catholic Jays baseball team scored 18 runs and held the host Whiting Warriors to 1 in the Jays non-league win on Saturday.
The Jays now own a 12-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Akron-Westfield for a War Eagle test on Saturday, July 13. Gehlen Catholic will play a Westerners team coming off a 7-4 league win over Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA). The Westerners record now stands at 25-3.
With the defeat, Whiting drops to 0-12 on the year.
