Iowa High School Baseball - Clarke defeats Carlisle
July 8, 2024: Carlisle, IA 50047 The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA) and the host Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), saw Clarke's baseball team beat Carlisle by a margin of 10-5.
The Indians (19-12) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Mt. Pleasant was overwhelmed by Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 7-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Wildcats face the Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) in a Raccoon River battle, on Tuesday, July 9. Carlisle will attempt to improve on its 12-22 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 15-14 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Greene County (Jefferson, IA).
