August 12, 2023: Coldspring, TX 77331 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) and the host Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX), saw Little Cypress-Mauriceville's volleyball squad beat Coldspring-Oakhurst by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Little Cypress-Mauriceville upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Bears travel to White Oak (White Oak, TX) to play the Roughnecks in a non-league test on Thursday, August 17. The Roughnecks enter the test with a record of 4-4.
The Trojans (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Colmesneil was knocked off by West Hardin (Saratoga, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
