North Carolina High School Soccer - Watauga knocks off North Gaston
August 12, 2024: Dallas, NC 28034 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), saw Watauga's soccer squad triumph over North Gaston by a count of 9-0.
The Pioneers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Titans enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, West Forsyth notched a victory over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, August 14. North Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
