August 12, 2025: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), 4-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Montgomery County advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 14. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
With the loss, Russell moves to 0-1 on the year. The Red devils travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 16. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 0-1. North Laurel lost 4-1 in their recent non-league game against George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY)
