August 13, 2022: Lahaina, HI 96761 Lahainaluna Lunas (Lahaina, HI) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Hilo Vikings (Hilo, HI), 28-20 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Lahainaluna advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lunas host Maui (Kahului, HI) to play the Sabers in a Maui battle on Saturday, August 20. The Sabers go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Maui won 16-0 in their recent non-league battle against Nanakuli (Waianae, HI)
Coming up next, the Vikings play the Kealakehe Waveriders (Kailua-Kona, HI) in a Big Island I battle, on Friday, August 19. Hilo will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Waveriders go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 6-6 non-league Kohala (Kapaau, HI).
