August 13, 2022: Covington, GA 30014 The Athens Christian Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Newton Rams to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peachtree Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, August 13. Athens Christian will meet a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over The Habersham School (Savannah, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
The Rams (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Walnut Grove dropped by Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA), 3-1, in a non-league game.
