McCollum Cowboys (San Antonio, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Cowboys clash with the Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 13. McCollum will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over McCollum (San Antonio, TX).

With the loss, Nixon drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, August 16.
