Kentucky High School Soccer - Nelson County knocks off Grayson County
August 13, 2024: Leitchfield, KY 42754 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY) and the host Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY), saw Nelson County's soccer squad knock off Grayson County by a count of 3-0.
The Cardinals (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln County (Stanford, KY). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 0-0 record. In their last battle, Lincoln County Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY), 1-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) in a District 11 battle, on Thursday, August 15. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Russellville (Russellville, KY).
