August 14, 2023: New London, NC 28127 The North Stanly Comets prevailed the visiting Concord Spiders volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Monday's non-league test.
The Comets now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest Hills for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 15. North Stanly will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-1.
The Spiders (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Central Academy dropped by Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
