The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) and the host Rosary Academy Royals (Fullerton, CA), witnessed Mater Dei's flag football squad topple Rosary Academy by a count of 28-6.

With the win, Mater Dei advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, CA) to encounter the Diablos in a non-league battle on Friday, August 15. The Diablos go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Mission Viejo won 12-6 in their recent non-league battle against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA)
