August 14, 2025: Claremore, OK 74019 Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Sperry Pirates (Sperry, OK), 4-2 in a league game.
With the triumph, Verdigris upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cardinals host Jay (Jay, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, August 15. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 1-0. Jay won 8-6 in their recent league match against Vinita (Vinita, OK)
In their next game, the Pirates confront the Heavener Wolves (Heavener, OK) in a 3A match, on Saturday, August 23. Sperry will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
