With the victory, Russell moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY) to confront the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. The Indians enter the bout with a record of 3-2. Montgomery County won 6-1 in their recent non-league bout against Rowan County (Morehead, KY)
In their next game, the Golden Eagles confront the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 17. Johnson Central will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Engineers enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 5-0 league win over Wolfe County (Campton, KY).
