August 15, 2024: Downey, CA 90242 Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Calvary Chapel Grizzlies (Downey, CA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Whitney improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats host California Academy of Math & Science (Carson, CA) to face the Coyotes in a non-league test on Monday, August 19. The Coyotes go into the test with a record of 1-0. California Academy of Math & Science won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Cabrillo (Long Beach, CA)
The Grizzlies now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southlands Christian for a test on Tuesday, August 20. Calvary Chapel will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over University Prep Value (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
