Georgia High School Football - McIntosh County Academy beat Islands

August 15, 2025: Darien, GA 31305

The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers football squad scored 43 points and limited the visiting Islands Sharks to 21 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlton County for a non-league test on Friday, August 22. McIntosh County Academy will meet a Indians squad coming off a 32-12 non-league win over Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Indians record now stands at 1-0.

The Sharks (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellow Jackets enter the AAA Region 3 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Southeast Bulloch fell by Statesboro (Statesboro, GA), 21-10, in a non-league challenge.
